Undercurrent

Bill Evans and Jim Hall - How good can it be? This is one of the most elegant, warm, delicate, sexy, extraordinary piece of art ever produced by humanity. No kidding. Listen to it with sharp ears, but take a time to sit down and focus.
I am leaving for school now, when I get back I'll post the details.
Enjoy!

Undercurrent - Bill Evans and Jim Hall
ps: I don't know why the cover has changed; it used to be in Sepia, but now it's in this shitty blue. I am going to get the original one.

  2. This record is wonderful! But, crazy for that woman in the cover... well... She’s live? She’s dreaming?

  3. This recording got me through four years of music school in the early 1970s. When I would get frustrated with my lack of progress, or have doubts about the direction my life was going towards. I would put this Lp (yes, Lp) on and know that all was right with the world. If two people were able to make such a statement of beauty, I knew there might be hope for me. This was also the first CD I bought when CDs appeared. I bought it before I had a CD player. Once I got the CD, I bought a player.

  7. Now you do know there's a second recording they did a few years later, right? It's entitled Intermodulation. Jim has a slightly more electric tone but the music is on the same level as Undercurrent. I needed Intermodulation for graduate school :-)

  12. Dang, this is a good record. Thank you. Don't know how I missed it until now, but I'm certainly glad to have found it. "Romain" is my favorite.
